There are so many websites and applications out there that organize your TV viewing habits, but today i m gonna let you know about my latest addiction: TVShow Time. As per usual you need to make an account, either via fb, twitter, or via email login, and then input which shows you watch (Tip: if you are old like me and you have been watching TV shows ever since there were only state stations and you recall the launch of privately held TV stations and cable after that, then you might not want to add all the shows you ever watched at once….yeah i did that, it is time consuming and you cannot view the benefits of the platform right away since you bombard it with information about shows which are no longer relevant, you can take a trip down memory lane at a later stage). Once you do that then you are all set to enjoy the benefits of TVShow Time, which visually is very appealing as you can see from my screenshots.
The added value of this platform which works on computers, phones and tablets, is that it has a social media parameter; you can make friends, comment, rate the characters of each episode, get badges (do you remember when foursquare gave us badges for being social, well this platform rewards you as well). Additionally there are push notifications so you do not forget when a show airs, there is a countdown of when the next episode of a series you watch will air, you can retrace where you left off on a series, if you haven’t watched for a while, no more playing random episodes to see if you recognize the previously section or not.
