random ramblings of an unconscious mind
There are four theatrical performances which interest me this month. Two of them are from foreign groups and will have a limited run, while the other two are from local Greek troupes, which i have seen in the past and like/admire their work. I present you with each of them in case you are interested/intrigued:
Murmures des murs is a performance by Aurélia Thierrée, and directed by Victoria Thierrée-Chaplin. The show will be hosted at Athens Concert Hall – Megaron on the 15th and 16th of February. Tickets vary from € 6,5 up to € 40. You can watch the short trailer that provides a sense of the performance.
Unmythable by Temple Theatre company will present us with a fun rendition of the Greek myths and will be hosted at Bios main stage from 28 February to the 3rd of March, and tickets cost €10-€15. Take a look:
Let us now move to the Greek productions. First we have Abovo‘s “Crime at the Gallery” which is an interactive play, where the audience assist in the interrogation of the perpetrators/actors, like a real-live Cluedo. Abovo also have a crowd-sourcing page at groopio where you can donate money and get posters, tickets for the performance, dvds with their previous works (most of which i have seen and are really great), seminars etc. This performance will be hosted at Thission Lofts, while the tickets will cost €10-€15.
Finally, we have the theatrical group Splish Splash whose performances can be characterized as funny musical renditions with the use of pantomime of stories like Jean D’Arc, Scarface, Jack the Ripper and the Phantom of the Opera. This time Splish Splash reinvent Dracula, or as they call it DraculaM, which will be hosted at Fournos theater. Tickets cost €8- €12.
You do not wanna miss the opportunity to watch these theatrical productions
