US elections

Today the US elections are taking place and many celebrities have used their popularity to endorse the candidate of their choosing. Personally i have never voted in the US election, despite being a US citizen; i am not a registered voter since my permanent residence is abroad. However, it never ceases to amaze me when i watch clips of people i admire openly backing their desired candidate for the presidency, pondering on whether they have any effect on voters. CNN has a nice list of celebrity endorsements for both Obama and Romney. People like Joss Whedon, Will Ferrel, Lena Dunham, Scarlett Johansson,  Richard Cheese and the National among others raise awareness on the importance of voting.
