Gregory Crewdson: Brief Encounters

I was introduced to the art of Gregory Crewdson through a friend a few years back, and my initial response was that of awe. Crewdson meticulously orchestrates his photographs so as to get his desired result; a mixture of still life, 3D imaging and subdued emotions. When looking at his pictures i feel like watching a David Lynch movie; who knew that still images could hold such lyricism.

A documentary about the art of Gregory Crewdson was shot during the past decade and will be screened at New York’s Film Forum between 31st October and 13th November. Furthermore, director Ben Shapiro and Gregory Crewdson will be attending the 8pm screening on November 1st.

The documentary will be also showcased across America at various locations. For more information on screenings check here.
