random ramblings of an unconscious mind
Fall, arguably is the best season. Besides being the interval between hot and cold, it is a period when most things reboot. (Disclaimer: One could argue that Spring also has similar attributes, however the fact that springtime is filled with bugs and allergies diminishes its appeal to me). Fall commences the holiday season, featuring Halloween and Thanksgiving, as well as instigating the beginning for our beloved TV series. However, this post will focus on a web-series; The Guild.
The sixth season of The Guild is upon us. A web series created, written and starring Felicia Day, follows the lives of an online gaming guild, The Knights of Good, whose lives revolve around a fantasy MMORPG video game, aka The Game. The series has won various awards and spun off a comic series, distributed by Dark Horse, as well as generated three videoclips. Guest stars include Nathan Fillion, Neil Gaiman, Will Wheaton, Kevin Sorbo etc.
Series 6 takes place in the aftermath of the gaming convention featured in season 5, following Codex in her first day as an assistant to the creator of The Game. The first episode was every bit funny and awkward as the rest of the series. Fans of the show will notice that the opening credit sequence of the series has changed. I am not sure how i feel about this.
In connection to the Halloween season craze which has taken over the US right now (you just gotta love the decorations and the overall atmosphere) there are also Guild costumes available for fans of the show.
You can subscribe to the youtube channel Geek and Sundry so as not to miss any of the upcoming episodes of The Guild. Furthermore, there will be an online event, where Jeff Lewis, Felicia Day, and Amy Okuda will talk about The Guild Season 6! Also, HalloweenCostumes.com will be in the hangout with some great giveaways. So Join Geek and Sundry on 13 October at 3pm (PDT).
