random ramblings of an unconscious mind
Since 2007 iTunes Festival has become an institution that every music lover has come to anticipate. This year, due to the London Olympics, the festival moved its dates from July to September. Each year for 30 days, music acts from various genres are performing live at Roundhouse. Tickets cannot be bought, but are only awarded randomly to those who applied online. I have to admit that it is pretty tough to get tickets but here is to hoping that lady luck is on your side.
In 2012 iTunes Festival’s lineup includes the likes of The Killers, Muse, Jack White, elbow, Bat for Lashes, Pink, The Soundtrack of our Lives, Hadouken, Deadmau5, Lana del Rey, Mumford & Sons, Norah Jones, Hot Chip etc. More than 60 artists perform for 30 consecutive nights.
Those of us who do not reside in London have the opportunity to watch the live performances via iTunes on our computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with the free iTunes Festival app. If you own Apple TV, simply click iTunes Festival from the main menu, or use Airplay to stream gigs wirelessly via the app.
