Terry Pratchett live @ the Royal Institution, UK

If you live in London, in the greater UK area, or even if you plan to visit the city for the Olympics, there is an event worth attending on 21 June: The Long Earth!

Even if the event is fully booked (understandably since it will feature lectures by Sir Terry Pratchett, Stephen Baxter, Dr David Wallace and Dr Roger Highfield) there is a twitter competition that can get two seats for a lucky winner.

All you have to do to enter is post the following tweet: I want to win 2 tickets to the Royal Institution’s Terry Pratchett event bit.ly/LZZJ9E  (RT to enter)

The closing date for the draw is Tuesday 19 June at Midday (GMT). The winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries and initially notified via Twitter.

More information for the competition held by the Royal Institution, here.

For those of us who are unable to make the trip the event will be filmed and posted at the Royal Institution’s web channel on 26 June.

Prior to the lecture, on Wednesday 20th June there will be another (for lack of better word) “mob event” taking over a major London landmark at 12:30pm!! The location is a secret at the moment and there  people will be creating parallel worlds with a special guest appearance from Sir Pratchett.
