US TV Summer season 2012

Following the previous trailer-ridden post, today, we welcome the start of the summer season, and with that occasion, below you will find trailers for the TV series that will be broadcasted during the summer period.

What in the past was considered to be 12 weeks of “dry spell”; full of reruns and catching up with shows that we did not have time to watch during the winter period or even allowing for the audience to experience a detox from the medium -vacation- has lately turned out to be a period that various shows have found their footing – allowing them to get a better stronghold of the audience, than they would at a full-speed highly competitive winter season.

Summer has been fruitful for the past years for shows like “True Blood“, “Leverage“, “Falling Skies“, “Teen Wolf“, “Awkward“, “Weeds“, “Episodes“, “Web Therapy“, “Breaking Bad“, “Alphas“, “Warehouse 13“,  “White Collar“, “Franklin & Bash“, “Royal Pains“, “Damages“, “Burn Notice“, “Suits“, and “Wilfred“, all of which will be broadcasted this summer.

The most awaited new series is that by Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, The West Wing, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip) starring Jeff Daniels and Emily Mortimer. The Newsroom will premiere at HBO on 24 June.

The next interesting series which will premiere on 15 July is Political Animals starring Sigourney Weaver.

Following we have Perception which will be on air at 9 July.

Charlie Sheen is also having his comeback this summer, with Anger Management on 28 June, where he plays a therapist specializing in anger management.

If doctor drama is what you are after, then Saving Hope will premiere on 7 June.

While if your orientation tends towards the police show variety then, Common law premiered on 11 May

Concluding, a series from the past is revamped to take the summer stage, “Dallas” returns to the screens on 13 June, and here is what it looks like now:

There you have it folks, these are the new series this summer which will be added to the list along with the continuing series (did not include  reality shows, game shows, talks shows, or abc family series).
